Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is about 15 minutes by car from a motel in Edmonton. For an edmonton international airport taxi, the airport identifies taxi pickup on the arrivals level; public transit takes you to Century Park Transit Centre, so plan an onward connection from there.

  • Route 747 departs from Door 8; the ride to Century Park takes about 24 minutes.
  • The one-way Route 747 fare is $6, payable by Arc card, credit or debit card, or cash.

Driving is a direct option for getting from Edmonton International Airport to the motel. If someone is collecting you, the airport has a cell-phone passenger loading zone. Drivers may wait free for up to 45 minutes in the Cell Phone Waiting Lot, then use the passenger loading area when you are ready.

Taxi and rideshare pickup

Taxi and rideshare pickup

Airport taxis pick up on the arrivals level outside Doors 3 and 9, and their rates are predetermined and flat-rate. The ground-transportation map also identifies a taxi, shuttle and limo lane on the arrivals level, plus a Rendezvous Meeting Point.

The City of Edmonton says an airport taxi or accessible taxi trip must be charged at the listed taxi rates or the airport flat rate, whichever is less. Ask the driver about the fare before setting off. The airport map identifies taxi pickup locations, but does not specify a rideshare pickup point.

Public transport options

Public transport options

Route 747 is the direct public-transit connection between Edmonton International Airport and Century Park Transit Centre; it does not take you directly to the motel. From the airport, board at Door 8. The ride to Century Park takes approximately 24 minutes, and you will need to arrange onward travel from the transit centre.

The one-way fare is $6. You can pay with an Arc card, credit or debit card, or cash; cash fare does not include transfers. Airport riders can buy transit fare products around the clock at the Parking and Ground Transportation counter between Doors 5 and 7. Route 747 buses are wheelchair accessible and use low-floor technology.

Route 747 runs seven days a week, from 4:10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., with buses every 30 to 60 minutes. On the return trip toward the airport, it stops at Premium Outlet Collection Mall and Costco before continuing to Century Park Transit Centre.

Leduc Transit Route 10 serves Leduc, Nisku, Premium Outlet Collection and Edmonton International Airport, and connects with Route 747 at the airport.

It operates hourly: weekdays from 7:20 a.m. to 10:17 p.m., Saturdays from 9:06 a.m. to 10:17 p.m., and Sundays from 10:06 a.m. to 7:17 p.m. For the city network and useful connections, read the Edmonton public transport guide.

Planning arrival and check-in

Planning arrival and check-in

Choose your transfer based on where you want the trip to end: a car or taxi takes you to the motel, while Route 747 ends at Century Park Transit Centre. If you take the bus, allow for its 24-minute ride and the onward connection; buses run every 30 to 60 minutes.

For a pickup, agree on a meeting point before leaving the terminal. The airport map marks the arrivals-level ground-transportation lane and Rendezvous Meeting Point, while drivers collecting passengers can wait in the Cell Phone Waiting Lot. Route schedules and fares can change, so check the official site before you go.

Mill Woods Sport Park is about 88 minutes on foot or 14 minutes by car from Chateau Motel; its facilities and visitor planning may be useful if you are arranging time in the area.
